What to use to remove grime and zebra mussels from boats?

To remove grime and zebra mussels from the bottom of aluminum boats, our recommendation is to use a mild acid such as Brilliant Rim Cleaner. Depending on the level of grime, perform multiple applications. Spray on the Brilliant using a pump up sprayer, let sit and then rinse with water. There are more aggressive acids
such as Flame, however they require more safety precautions and can also take off the paint. For fiberglass boats, our recommendation would be Knock-out. Same process – spray on, let sit and then rinse.

What to use to bring back shine on aluminum horse trailer?

The product we would recommend is Flame. As this is a heavy acid, additional to all other safety data for this product, here are a few best practices:

Wear personal protective gear, do it outside and on a day that’s not too windy, Ideally use a pump up sprayer. Start at the top and work down. Only
let the product sit for less than 5 minutes (or it will etch into the metal and turn white).Rinse very very thoroughly with lots of water.

This should bring back a beautiful shine on an aluminum horse trailer.
